At the heart of Niles, this old Americana restaurant is definitely an underrated location. Parking in the area may be quite difficult as streets are smaller but it's a scenic walk of old Antique shops and remnants of Charlie Chaplin's old days. The menu is All-American eggs, pancakes, fries, with a good variety of meat options. I think I got the country fried steak and my boyfriend got an omelette. The meal was super filling! It's really an American sized dish, with room for you to take home leftovers. We also got the shake and it was super sweet, I had to take home more than half of it home to save for later due to the richness! I have eaten here twice and it does not disappoint. Service is fast despite the long line and worth waiting for if you're further in the line. I would recommend Skillet'z as the #1 spot to eat if you were to go explore the Niles area.

I always find myself bringing friends here when we get together for brunch and they leave it up to me to pick a place. They tend to get busy and there's always a wait no matter what time or day you go, but they keep that line going. They take your order outside while you're waiting so it only takes a couple of minutes for your food to get served when you finally get to your table. I always try to order something different and I've yet to get a plate I didn't like. They have a big menu so go crazy and order whatever, but not too crazy coz they do add up. The portions are huge, the ambiance is perfect, and service is great.

This was my first time visiting this place and I was overall happy with my experience. The place is decorated with pictures of a lovely white French Poodle. There are a lot of options on the menu and some pictures throughout. Remember I mentioned there was a white French poodle? There are a few pictures of him on the menu. So cute! The service was good. I was greeted immediately and I was able to get a table. Our waitress was pretty attentive. She gave us plenty of time to check out the menu and quickly took our order once we were ready. The food was good. I ordered a veggie omelet with hashbrowns. The omelette was decent. It was a huge size! The hashbrowns were a little dry to my taste. I also ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, which was amazing! Portions are quite big so you can either share food with someone or take your leftovers home, which I did. There is a parking lot just right around the corner and it was straightforward to find parking. There were plenty of spots when I went (around 9 am). I would go back to this spot and I would try a different item from the menu. Their iced coffees looked very yummy. My friend ordered one and it look very good.

Great food and drinks. Came here with my sister since we like to check out restaurants that we have not been to before. When we arrived, there was a long line outside which is always a good sign. Got our name in the waitlist and wait times were approximately 20-30min. Browsed the menu in the meantime. Decided to get the iced mocha. The presentation is nice and ofc I took a picture for Instagram. Food was good as well. Plates are big you can easily share one. Great service and food!

Went here for brunch around 10:30AM on a Saturday. For their ordering system, you write down your name on a sign up sheet, take a menu and select your choices, then an employee comes around calling everyone's names and they'll come to you take your order. After that when a table is ready, they'll call for your party and you're seated and the food comes to you. I found this to be efficient, and the wait time from signing in, ordering, and going in for a table took probably less 20 minutes or so- so it wasn't that long of a wait. The interior is filled with cute decor of dogs and trinkets, and everything was nicely placed. It gave more of a "homey" feel. I have a pretty bad sweet tooth, and I absolutely love Oreos so I had both the Oreo French toast and ordered a side of eggs and sausage, and an Oreo latte. I enjoyed my French toast, and it had the right amount of sweetness and it wasn't too sweet. The Oreo latte was good as well, and I enjoyed the taste of it. My friend ordered a calamari sandwich and she said that it was tasty, and she also enjoyed her mocha latte. Our server also checked in on us periodically to make sure that everything was good, and would ask if we needed any refills. Overall, the place is great. Despite of how busy it may look outside, the staff is actually pretty good with getting people in and out with great timing. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area and will try other items on the menu.

I've been hearing about Skillet'z from so many friends, and I was super excited that I was finally able to try it out. I went here for brunch on Sunday, so it took 30 minutes to place an order, and another 10 minutes to get a table. Skillet'z is unique because you'll place an order while standing out front, and once a table and your order is ready, then you'll be seated. I wasn't able to take a look indoors, but the outdoor seating was quiet small. With a constant stream of music as well, you have to talk pretty loudly when sitting with a group. There's also a bunch of flies in the outdoor seating, which doesn't make for the most pleasant experience. I got the hot chocolate, which was 8/10. While it was sweet, almost 50% of the drink was whipped cream. I also got 2 eggs over-easy, bacon, and house potatoes. Everything was super good and super filling - and when I say super filling, I literally couldn't eat for the rest of the day!

I have a lot of things to say about this place. food is really good. They have so many choices and big portions! Drinks, I literally fall in love with their coffee! Delicious! We try banana waffles, Lolita's omelette, the mocha coffee, and a strawberry milkshake! Food came out so quick! Great service, employees were constantly checking if we were okay, or if we needed anything! Also there's a parking on the street and also a parking lot on the side of the building. If you want to eat at their patio, you have to order your food outside , and after your order has been taken, you have to go around the building all the way from the back so you can get inside of the patio Wonderful experience! The only bad thing about this place, there are a lot of flies on the patio, but they have fans and that keeps them away.
